Integration Privacy Policy

1. About Steward Manor Estate

Steward Manor Estate (“SME,” “we,” or “our”) is a private household application that connects authorized home devices with Home Assistant and household television displays. Its integration features include displaying camera feeds, receiving device events, and showing household notifications.

SME uses Google’s authorized interfaces to connect supported Google Nest devices when the account owner grants permission. SME is independently operated and is not a Google product.

This policy covers information handled by these integrations. Travel bookings and other services offered through this website are covered by their separate privacy policies.

2. Information We Access

Depending on the devices connected and permissions granted, SME may access:

  • Device names, identifiers, types, locations within the configured home, and operating status.
  • Live camera video and audio, where supported and authorized.
  • Device events, such as motion, person detection, and doorbell activity, including timestamps.
  • Images or event media made available by supported devices.
  • Authorization tokens used to maintain the connection.
  • Technical information needed to operate and troubleshoot the integration, such as connection status and error records.

Google authorization takes place through Google’s sign-in and consent process. SME does not ask you to provide your Google account password to the application.

3. How We Use Information

SME uses integration information to display authorized camera feeds, deliver household notifications, maintain device connections, and diagnose operational problems.

Access is limited to the permissions needed for the enabled features. Google integration data is not used for travel marketing, targeted advertising, credit decisions, or training general-purpose artificial intelligence models.

4. Access and Sharing

Camera feeds and device information are intended for the account owner and authorized household users. Publishing this policy does not make those feeds publicly available.

Data may be processed by the services and infrastructure needed to provide the integration, including Google services, Home Assistant running on SME-controlled systems, DigitalOcean hosting, and authorized playback devices. Local equipment may also process data where it remains part of the installation.

We do not sell or rent Google integration data. We limit disclosures to providing authorized functionality, protecting the service, or meeting applicable legal obligations. Administrative access is limited to authorized maintenance and support activities.

Our handling of Google API data follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its applicable Limited Use requirements.

5. Storage and Retention

Integration settings and authorization credentials are stored on the systems operating SME. Video delivery may use temporary images, memory buffers, or video segments to support playback.

Home Assistant may retain device states and event history according to its configuration. Operational logs and backups may contain integration settings, credentials, device information, or historical records.

Retention depends on the type of information and the configured service. Connection credentials are needed while an integration remains active; logs, history, and backups may remain after disconnection until separately deleted or replaced. Removing access does not automatically erase previously stored information.

Any recordings or history maintained independently by Google, Vivint, or another device provider are governed by that provider’s settings and policies.

6. Security

SME uses access controls, protected credential storage, and restricted administrative access to help protect integration information. Credentials and private camera links are not intended for publication on this website or in public code repositories.

No system or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

7. Your Choices and Deletion Requests

You can choose which supported devices and permissions to authorize. You can revoke Google access through your Google Account connections, and the SME administrator can disconnect the integration in Home Assistant.

Revoking access stops future authorized retrieval but does not automatically delete existing logs, history, temporary files, or backups.

To request access to or deletion of information retained by SME, contact us using the contact information published on this website. We may need to verify your authority over the account or devices before acting. Requests concerning information stored by the original device provider must also be directed to that provider.

8. Website and Third-Party Services

The website hosting this policy has its own privacy policy covering website visits, forms, and cookies. Google and other connected providers also maintain their own privacy policies. This policy describes SME’s handling of integration data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will update this page when integration features or data practices change. If a change introduces a new use of Google data or requires additional permissions, we will provide the necessary disclosure and obtain authorization before enabling that use.

10. Contact

For questions about this policy, connected devices, or integration data, contact Steward Manor Estate using the contact information published on this website.
